Roads to freedom - mural painting
The MOCAK summer goes on! On 21 August 2011 between 1 and 5 pm, another edition of the Roads to Freedom workshop took place. Seventeen participants, together with a mural painter Mikołaj Rejs, art historian Iwona Wojnarowicz and Elżbieta Sala, whose idea this was, spent time on creative alterations of the Zabłocie district.

On the 23rd July 2011 a workshop entitled Women’s History, My History took place at MOCAK. Grandmothers, mothers and daughters participated in activities led by the artist Małgorzata Markiewicz.
moreHistory of the Comic Strip, History in the Comic Strip
On the 9th and 10th July 2011, a couple of workshops took place entitled History of the Comic Strip, History in the Comic Strip. The activities were led by Agnieszka Piksa, Elżbieta Sala and Monika Kozioł. The workshop ended with all the children participating in a shared production of a comic strip. moreDiary pages - summer workshops
On the 5th of July 2011, 80 children from the Podgórze and Ruczaj Cultural Centres visited MOCAK. The children saw the exhibition of the MOCAK Collection and took part in workshops, during which they produced drawings, inspired by the work of Maria Michałowska – 7 Diary Pages. The children created their own diary entries, sharing their feelings and impressions.

moreKids at MOCAK
On the 28th June 2011, another group of children visited MOCAK. The charges of the Youth Cultural Centre at 5, Grunwaldzka Street in Kraków took part in an interactive guided tour of the MOCAK Collection exhibition. During an hour-long session, the children, aged 7 to 10, were shown the exhibition and performed a number of tasks designed to stimulate their imagination.

On the 1st of June 2011, Children’s Day was celebrated at MOCAK. Children from 7 to 13, together with their guardians, were taken round the exhibition of the MOCAK Collection. Next, they took part in educational workshops, during which they tried their hand at being a museum custodian and compiling their own collection.

In May 2011, we made and distributed a few thousand postcards addressed to the residents of Podgórze – the district of Krakow in which MOCAK is located.

28th May 2011 the members of the Association ‘Wiosna’ took part in the workshop The Circle of Time – Krakow sponsored by the Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow. This was the first of the series of educational workshops which will accompany the exhibition History in Art.
