Processing personal data

The MOCAK website www.mocak.pl provides its users with an online bookstore service and a newsletter. When logging on and accessing these services, data subjects, hereinafter referred to as ‘users’, provide personal data.

In terms of the law on the protection of personal data, the data controller of the data is MOCAK the Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow, hereinafter referred to as the ‘administrator’, of ul. Lipowa 4, 30-702 Kraków, autonomous cultural institution registered with the reference number 31, NIP 675-142-70-73, REGON number: 121135203 in the Registry of Cultural Institutions maintained by the Municipal Council of the City of Krakow.

Personal data, in particular the first name and surname, the user’s address, email address and telephone number are provided to the extent necessary to enable the user to log on including filling in the contact details questionnaire required for the purpose and to enable the administrator to provide the service available online.

The email address of a user who has opted to subscribe to the newsletter is added to the address database and used solely for the purpose of disseminating the newsletter. The user is entitled to cancel the subscription at any time.

The user may access the content of their personal data and any updates thereof, contact the administrator at any time in order to monitor the administrator’s actual or intended use made of the data or to have all or a specific part of their data deleted.

Data protection terms

MOCAK has the technical and logistical means to ensure the security of personal data in order to prevent it from being unlawfully accessed or processed or being accidentally lost, damaged or destroyed.

The administrator will ensure that personal data are entered correctly, accurately and updated as necessary and processed in accordance with the law, that they are kept safe and not kept longer than necessary.

The website uses an SSL certificate to ensure the privacy of data transmitted electronically. Communications between the user’s terminal and the server that the MOCAK web site uses are encrypted to ensure the complete safety of personal data. The certificate is registered for the domain mocak.pl and it contains information about the domain owner as well as providing proof of identity of the site on the Internet.

Data privacy and use of cookies

The administrator uses cookies. Cookies are small amounts of text that are downloaded to your computer or mobile device when you visit a website and contain information necessary for the efficient use of the website. The administrator uses cookies solely in order to garner statistical data about the functioning of the site, information such as how users use the website and in particular the number of their visits to the website, the duration of a visit, the material accessed, the type of browser and server and the user’s IP address. This is done in order to monitor the quality of the site provided. The administrator’s use of cookies does not bring about the collection of any personal or identification data of the user nor of any confidential information from the user’s own device.

The user can at any time alter the cookie settings on their browser or in the configuration of the site specifically to block the access of cookies to their own computer or mobile device and in particular to block automatic access to their devices or else to provide information about the placing of cookies on the user’s device each time that the site is accessed. The user can remove the cookies at any time using the functions available in their browser.
