BazArt: Seedlings – Greens for Greens!
Join us at the first summer bazArt, 6 July!. Bring your plants, seeds, young trees and bushes and swap them with others! If you decide to give your plant to the Museum, we will thank you with a MOCAK flowerpot.
"What is Art for?" – session with the author
Don’t hesitate to join us for a session with Grzegorz Jankowicz, the author of What is Art for? Conversations with Writers (part 2), which will take place on 4 July (Thursday) at 5.30 pm at the Państwomiasto café in Warsaw.
Marketing Culture - a lecture by Krzysztof Broński
Krzysztof Broński, Professor of the UEK in Krakow, associate professor, will set out to prove that commercialisation of culture is a necessity in the context of its functioning in an external market environment.
Posters – poems
The MOCAK Library would like to invite you to the exhibition Posters – Poems, a display of Ryszard Krynicki’s poetic posters. These so-called ‘museums of poems’ were arranged by the author himself to present his personal anthology.
Ryszard Krynicki’s Jubilee at MOCAK
On the day of two new exhibition openings, 26 June, MOCAK will also host events connected with Ryszard Krynicki’s jubilee RK’70.
Territory
In his works, Lutyński combines natural elements with abstract painted elements, simple in form and pure in colour. The artist breaks the conventional artificiality of a gallery event; he introduces live animals and plays instruments with invited musicians; creating a hospitable ambiance, he provides a buffet.
Temptress
At Charlotte Beaudry’s solo exhibition there will be more than a dozen paintings as well as sculpture and video works. The objects are presented against a neutral background, taken out of their usual context. They provoke a flow of associations about female ‘tools' of seduction.
Culture and Development - a lecture by Prof. Jerzy Hausner
Culture and Development - a series of lectures as part of an educational programme part-financed by the National Bank of Poland. The prominent economist Professor Jerzy Hausner will give the opening lecture.
The Art of Killing
Posters that can be seen on the façade of the former salt warehouse in Podgórze are part of the project by Lukáš Houdek which is a testimony to his fascination with events familiar from history books.
