The Arteteka at the Regional Public Library in Krakow as well as the Library and the Education Department at MOCAK cordially invite you to take part in a social and educational project aiming to discover new roles for the book. On 12 October, from noon until 4 pm, please visit the educational workshop at the Arteteka, in the course of which part of the past library collection will be transformed into art works.  The participants will have an opportunity to turn the book of their choice into an art work.

For the next month, the resultant works will be on display at the Arteteka side by side with works of professional artists.

Everybody taking part in giving books a new role will receive a ticket for the lucky draw. At the closing event of the project, all the artists will take part in the draw and receive works of artists and workshop participants.

The action will be accompanied by the exhibition Get to Know Another Side, presenting the artistic books created during the educational projects at MOCAK.

This initiative is a continuation of the project The Return of the Book, an event that launched the activities of the MOCAK Library in March 2012. All artists interested in taking part in the project please contact: biblioteka@mocak.pl
