On Friday 21 May 2021 come to the Night of the Museums at MOCAK! The visitors will be able to see all the exhibitions and take part in the events that have been prepared especially for the occasion.
Due to pandemic restrictions and with a view to the safety of visitors and museum employees, Krakow City Council, the Krakow Nights organiser, has decided to change the customary format of the event, limiting access to the museum collections to the usual daily opening hours of the specific institution. Some museums are extending visiting hours, while others are inviting visitors only to visit online.
On Friday 21 May, MOCAK will open from 11 am to 10 pm (last entry to the exhibitions at 9.30 pm). A special price ticket at 2 PLN on the day.
For their own safety, all visitors are asked to follow the current Health and Safety regulations which include updated sanitary guidelines, available here.
A day earlier, on 20 May, two new exhbitions will open:
- Symbols of Life after Death: Commemorative Sculpture by Krzysztof M. Bednarski
- Architecture as Symbol, Text and Backdrop
PROGRAMME
- The Museum for You – This is the MOCAK bus!
Times: 11 am–7 pm, Venue: MOCAK Bus, by the Museum entrance on Lipowa 4
The mobile exhibition presents works by 23 artists from Poland and abroad. These include videos, photographs and small installations arranged by the artists in display cases. Especially for the Visiting Collection, new works have been created by Krzysztof M. Bednarski, Kamil Kukla, Piotr Lutyński and Adam Rzepecki.
The bus will be accompanied by guides.

In the audiovisual room you will be able to watch the video documentation of the public projection by Krzysztof Wodiczko, which took place in Krakow on Rynek Główny in 1996 (Town Hall Tower, Kraków, 1996, MOCAK Collection).
