On Friday, 15th May visit MOCAK to enjoy the Night of Museums. On that day the Museum will be open exclusively from 6 pm to 1 pm. The visitors will have a chance to see all exhibitions free of charge as well as take part in guided tours, events and contests organised specially for this occasion.
Throughout the evening the outdoor studio of ZET Chilli Radio will be located in the Museum yard. The studio will produce a live broadcast with the participation of curators, artists and audience. In the Museum ticket office the Night of Museums commemorative coins will be on sale for the price of 1 zloty.

Curator's tour of the exhibition Poland – Israel – Germany: The Experience of Auschwitz
A guided tour with the participation of Werner Köhler, Consul General of Germany in Krakow as well as Delfina Jałowik and Jürgen Kaumkötter, the exhibition curators. Admission free, no registration required.

Guided tours of the Mieczysłw Porębski's Library
Professor Mieczysław Porębski donated part of his book collection to the Museum. The donation also comprised paintings by some of his friends, including members of the Krakow Group as well as Ryszard Winiarski, Jerzy Stajuda, Jan Tarasin and Andrzej Wróblewski. The collection is exhibited in one of the MOCAK Library rooms reminiscent of the Professor's study in his Krakow flat.

Drawing performance by Michel Kichka
Michel Kichka, comic book artist and illustrator, will draw live a work alluding to the story presented in his comic book Second Generation, featured in the exhibition Poland – Israel – Germany: The Experience of Auschwitz.

Things I Never Told My Father – workshops with Michel Kichka for teenagers and adults
The workshops accompany a drawing performance by Michel Kichka, the author of the comic book Second Generation: Things I Never Told My Father. The participants will have a chance to create drawings together with the artist. The event will take place at the MOCAK Library, where Kichka's original drawings for the first French edition of the comic book are on display as part of the exhibition Poland – Israel – Germany: The Experience of Auschwitz. Through the comic book Kichka talks about the relationship with his father Henri, who was the only survivor of Auschwitz in the family. In Kichka's comic book the experiences of the Second World War are still alive and exert much influence on family life, e.g. on raising children, eating together or celebrating festivals. Gender in Art photo contest
The visitors will have a chance to take part in a contest connected with the exhibition Gender in Art. Just take a photo* on the exhibition and publish it on social media (Facebook, Instagram or Twitter) tagged #genderinart or #genderwsztuce. Each participant of the game will get a prize and the authors of ten best photos will be rewarded with publications and a set of artefacts. You will be able to collect your prize all evening in the MOCAK arcades.
*The photographs must not violate the copyright laws.
Contest at MOCAK Bookstore
During the Night of Museums the MOCAK Bookstore will offer special discounts: 25% off on all Museum publications and 5% off on all the other publications for the purchase value of above 150 zloty. Additionally, a contest concerning the new exhibition will be organised for the customers of MOCAK Bookstore. The prize draw will take place at midnight.
