Symbols of Life after Death: Commemorative Sculpture by Krzysztof M. Bednarski
The exhibition is dedicated to two recently deceased eminent artists – Krzysztof Penderecki and Adam Zagajewski. Krzysztof M. Bednarski is the author of the sarcophagus sculptures dedicated to them in the National Pantheon at the Church of St Apostles Peter and Paul. The exhibition at MOCAK will be a broader presentation of his commemorative art.
Architecture as Symbol, Text and Backdrop
Artists employ in many different ways the wealth of meanings that architecture provides. They explore its symbolic potential. They touch upon the architecture's role as our constant companion and the backdrop of everyday events. And they also turn it into a sophisticated tool of communication.

The second part of the exhibition consists of portraits of Krzysztof Penderecki by Beata Stankiewicz, Marcin Maciejowski, Bartek Materka, photographs by Marian Eile from the series A Return Visit: Dali at the Pendereckis, and photographic documentation from the park in Lusławice by Marek Bebłot and Bartek Barczyk.
