Guided tour for Senior Citizens
Senior citizens are cordially invited to a free guided tour of our new exhibitions, combined with a workshop.
A Gallery: What Is It?
A guided tour combined with a workshop for children aged 4 – 12, to accompany the exhibition Beyond Corrupted Eye. Akumulatory 2 Gallery, 1972–1990. For the duration of the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to step into the shoes of professional curators of modern art.
Playing with Books. Where Shall We Go? Ask the Map!
Children aged 4 – 8 are welcome, with their parents, to attend the workshop Playing with Books. This will be the third session in the literature-meets-art series, this time involving a close encounter with maps: Where Shall We Go? Ask the Map!
Sustainable design in industry and everyday life
On 15 February at 6 pm you are invited to a discussion accompanying the exhibition Everything Forever Now: Polish and British Sustainable Design. The participants and invited guests will together reflect on the viability of introducing sustainable design into mass production and will consider the ways that it would function in Poland and in Britain.
Obsessive Scenes
In Beta Gallery a collection of short art films by the design-generation group will be shown. The films evoke places in the cultural imagination that has been grafted onto us. They are daring, eccentric and humorous; often, cruel, terrifying and obscene, too.
Utopian Design
In Alfa Gallery, utilitarian and decorative objects will be exhibited, including an eclectic bench, a rosary praying game, an Art Deco newspaper rack and a framed trophy. This exhibition will be a reference to the Polish and British design exhibition at Level 0.
Everything Forever Now. Polish and British Sustainable Design
The exhibition presents sustainable design projects, which aim to enable development without destruction. The characteristic features of these projects are their use of renewables and the elimination of any negative impact on the natural environment.
Beyond Corrupted Eye Akumulatory 2 Gallery, 1972–1990
The materials compiled for the present exhibition and the publication that accompanies it provide an insight into art practices which developed outside the official art circles, within the complex zone of artistic strategies implemented despite artists’ being forced to function within the restrictive status quo of soc-realism.
The Landscape of our Emotions
Workshop for children aged 8–12, which accompanies Anita Glesta’s exhibition Guernica. The American artist’s works presented at the exhibition refer to the Pablo Picasso’s famous Guernica.
Winter Holidays in MOCAK: Warm Snow
During the winter holidays, MOCAK invites children aged 4–12 to visit the Collection and participate in special artistic workshops.
