Literary workshop at the exhibition World War II: Drama, Symbol, Trauma // EVENT CANCELLED

On Thursday 19 March at 5 pm, come to the literary workshop inspired by the exhibition World War II: Drama, Symbol, Trauma. We will visit the exhibition, and during the workshop we will look at whether it is possible to describe the experience of war, and how this can be done, and especially – how to create and respond to art after World War II.

Students’ Art Week, Jagiellonian University 2020 // EVENT CANCELLED

The second edition of Wisława Szymborska: Collages now out.

The catalogue presents a less-known part of the poet’s work: postcard-size collages, which had been sent to her friends over many years. The texts about these minimalist compositions have been written by Małgorzata Baranowska, Maria Anna Potocka and Michał Rusinek.

Delfina Jałowik on the jury of the Vordemberge-Gildewart Award 2020

The annual Vordemberge-Gildewart Foundation scholarship competition for artists under the age of 35 has been held in different European countries since 1983. MOCAK organised the event in 2011 and 2018.

The Anti-War Bulletin that accompanies the exhibition World War II – Drama, Symbol, Trauma with its graphic design echoes newspapers of the 1920s and 1930s. The publication, available in Polish and English, will prove useful when viewing the exhibition.
