The Library. The Museum. Books

At the MOCAK Library, the 10th Open Day of the Krakow Museums will be devoted to beautiful books.

Visitors will have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the most interesting examples of unique volumes, created during the educational and artistic projects organised at MOCAK.

During the whole day there will also be on display the exceptional artist’s book by Zbigniew Makowski Las husula extranas (Oczerki istorii CCCP IX–XIII ww) from 1965. We urge you to take an active creative part whilst visiting the  Mieczysław Porębski Library and join in making your own art works inspired by the opus of Zbigniew Makowski. We have planned three free-of-charge guided tours of the Library – at 4 pm, 5 pm and 6 pm.

On the day, our readers will be able to peruse at leisure a special set – prepared for them especially for the occasion – of the most attractive albums, guides and books to help them to get to know contemporary art, understand it better and get to like it.
