To mark the 10^th anniversary of the opening of MOCAK, we have launched a series of film screenings entitled Thursdays with Artists from the MOCAK Collection. As part of the project, each Thursday we will be showing interviews with artists whose works are in our Collection. On the day the entry to the MOCAK Collection exhibition is free.

In September and October, we show an interview with Franciszek Orłowski. The artist talks about the beginnings of his creative path and the factors that influenced his choice of the dominant medium in his work. He discusses some of his works, including the project This Blood is for You, the third instalment of which we are showing until 16 October 2022 in Beta Gallery.

The projections take place on Thursdays in the audiovisual hall at noon, 2 pm and 5 pm.

Franciszek Orłowski (b. 1984)
Video, artistic action, sculpture. He graduated from the Intermedia Faculty at the University of Arts in Poznań (2010, diploma in the studio of Mirosław Bałka and Piotr Kurka). The focal point of his interests is people in the contemporary social, economic and political context. He critically evaluates capitalist economic and social structures and the role that the artist and art can play within them. His works deal with interpersonal relationships and the shaping of social attitudes.
