On 8 and 9 May as part of the 15th INTERACTIONS the International Art Festival there will take place a special programme dedicated to Jan Świdziński.
A two-day presentation by Canadian artists is the second part of the programme to open this year’s anniversary edition of the Festival. The programme, the first part of which is entitled Fais où tu es, pratiques contextuelles entre la Pologne et le Québec, began on 4 April[-1] in the city of Quebec in Canada with a presentation by five Polish performers – Janusz Bałdyga, Artur Grabowski, Łukasz Szałankiewicz, Przemysław Branas and Artur Tajber), a film by Barbar Maroń about the activities of Polish performers and a conference at the Laval University led by Artur Tajber. This Polish-Canadian exchange is dedicated to the Polish artist Jan Świdziński, born in 1923, who influenced the artistic communities of both countries; it also harks after his theory of the interpretation of the passing of reality.
