In the name of the Ludwik Solski State Theatre School, the Cracow University of Economics and GAP Art Agency we would like to invite you to an open debate titled Art and... nation – a part of Art and... series.
The event is going to take place on 24th February at 5 p.m. at the Ludwik Solski State Theatre School in Krakow, Straszewskiego 21-22, S. Wyspiański stage.
The panelists will include:
Andrzej Celiński – politcian, Minister of Culture from 2001 to 2002
Jan Klata – theatre director, director of the National Old Theatre in Krakow
Robert Kostro – historian, director of the Polish History Museum in Warsaw
Bronisław Maj – poet, essayist
The debate will be moderated by Professor Jacek Purchla, PhD, head of the Department of Economic and Social History of the Cracow University of Economics and director of the International Cultural Centre.
Art and... , a series of discussions on the relations between art and other spheres of life, is a cultural and educational project addressed mainly to university students with artistic talents. The debates take place periodically at three art colleges in Krakow. The guests include people working in culture, business, media, politics and science.
The Art and... project is organised thanks to support from the Kronenberg Foundation and in collaboration with the International Cultural Centre.
