Night of Museums at MOCAK

On Friday 19 May you are invited to MOCAK for the Night of Museums. The visitors will be able to view all the exhibitions free of charge: Art in Art, The Artist and the Trace: Materials from the MOCAK Collection Artists' Archive, exhibitions presented as part of Photomonth, and also the MOCAK Collection, as well as the installation Live Factory 2: Warhol by Lupa and Mieczysław Porębski Library. And you are also welcome to our newly opened MOCAK Archive.
On the day, the Museum will be open only from 6 pm until 1 am. The last entry to the exhibitions at 00:30 am. Free entry.

Mieczysław Porębski Library, 11 pm
On the Night of Museums, MOCAK Library would like to invite you to join the guided tour of Mieczysław Porębski Library. The participants will be able to find out more about the Professor’s book collection and selected paintings from those he had accumulated. Free entry, no need to prebook. Please arrive at the MOCAK reception 5 min before the tour begins.
Light - shade. Field game at MOCAK, 6.30 pm – 1 am
During this year’s Night of Museums, the visitors will have an opportunity to take part in a field game. Parents and children invited. On the site of the Museum and its environs, mysterious objects will be hidden – deceptively similar to those that can be seen in some works presented at the exhibition Art in Art. Equipped with maps and torches, the participants will be set the task of finding all the hidden objects, and then finding their originals in the works presented at the exhibition.
Action Octopuses for Babies, 6 pm – 11 pm
MOCAK Library welcomes everybody to join in the crocheting action! Together we will be learning to use the crochet hook to make octopuses to be used as cuddly toys by the premature babies in incubators. The octopuses will be donated to Krakow hospitals. All materials and equipment will be provided.
Installation Short Circuit, display 6 pm – 1 am
As part of this year’s 5th edition of Polikultura Culture and Media Festival, with the theme Rebellious Pursuits…, in the MOCAK Library there will be a display of the installation Short Circuit by Zofia Dziurawiec and Zuzanna Opozda.
