Consultation of photographic projects – open call

You are invited to take part in open call consultation of photographic projects with Krzysztof Marchlak, photographer and painter, who is the author of the project Art Is Me and holds a PhD in art.

To take part, by 10 August please send a pdf containing one or two sets of photographs taken by you (three to 12 images each) with a short description to: edukacja@mocak.pl. You will be informed by 16 August whether you have qualified for the consultation. The cost of participation is 30 PLN. The ticket also entitles you to entry on the day to all exhibitions at the Museum.

The consultation will take place on Saturday 19 August, from 11 am to 5 pm in the MOCAK Library or online via Zoom.

During the 30-minute individual meeting, you will be able to consult your completed photographic project as well as one that is in the process of completion or in the conceptual phase. The consultation is based on visual materials prepared by the participant. For further information, please call 12 2634035 or email edukacja@mocak.pl.


Krzysztof Marchlak (1987) – photographer, painter, creator of artistic objects and installations. Assistant professor at the Faculty of Art of the Pedagogical University in Krakow. In his photographs he engages in portraying Krakow communities of actors, visual artists and LGBTQ people. He is interested in social themes concerning social minorities, portraiture and the narrative nature of still life. He was awarded the special Director’s Award in the photographic competition Exhibit Yourself at CoCA 2022, in Toruń, for which he produced a solo exhibition Beautiful Escapes (2023). He works closely with UFO Art Gallery, Shefter Gallery, Nocny Art Patrol and The Little Black Gallery. He periodically publishes his work in the international queer photography magazine BOYS! BOYS! BOYS!.
