Twentieth / Twenty First Century: History, Art, Education – project

MOCAK the Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow presents the project Twentieth / Twenty First Century: History, Art, Education, which comprises the following activities:
- The series On Democracy: Twenty Lessons from the Twentieth Century for post-primary school pupils
Twenty sessions based on Timothy Snyder’s book On Tyrany: Twenty Lessons from the Twentieth Century and structured as lessons for young people, conducted by artists, philosophers and writers with different areas of expertise. Each session will provide an opportunity for shared reflection on contemporary issues of concern, considered in the context of art, and will encourage public debate.

- Guided tours and workshops for partner institutions
The auxiliary institutions collaborating in the project will also take part in the guided tours and workshops, which introduce various means of artistic expression based on the programme of temporary exhibitions.
- Publication of the educational folder from the series Creative Collection
Folders in the series Creative Collection (Twórcza Kolekcja) bring closer to the viewer the works in MOCAK collections. The publication, addressed to young people and adults, which accompanies the project is related to social engagement. It presents works by Ákos Birkás, Leopold Kessler, Sándor Pinczehelyi and Jarosław Kozłowski.
Entry to each event 2 PLN. Pre-booking required. All the events take place in small groups and follow the health and safety guidelines.
