To mark the 10^th anniversary of the opening of MOCAK, we have launched a series of film screenings entitled Thursdays with Artists from the MOCAK Collection. As part of the project, each Thursday we will be showing interviews with artists whose works are in our Collection. On the day the entry to the MOCAK Collection exhibition is free.

In November and December 2022 and January 2023, we show an interview with Paweł Susid. The artist talks about his philosophy of art. The screening of the interview complements the exhibition of the painter’s works, which is currently part of the exhibitions of the MOCAK Collection and Politics in Art >>

The projections take place on Thursdays in the audiovisual hall at noon, 2 pm and 5 pm.

Paweł Susid >> (1952)
Painting, drawing. His paintings take the form of communiques referring to the surrounding reality. Built up from the simplest of geometrical figures, symbols, and signs, they are accompanied by short texts – authorial commentaries indicating to the beholder the main idea of the work. The subjects broached by the artist are amazingly diverse, from serious reflections on politics and religion to everyday trivialities.
