To mark the 10th anniversary of the opening of MOCAK, we have launched a series of film screenings entitled Thursdays with Artists from the MOCAK Collection. As part of the project, each Thursday we will be showing interviews with artists whose works are in our Collection. On the day the entry to the MOCAK Collection exhibition is free.

In May and June, an interview with Leopoled Kessler will be released. Artist talks about his works presented in our Museum, with much focus on how Surrogate City Bike Station / MOCAK 2015 came to exist, that is now exhibited permanently near the Museum building at Lipowa Street.

The projections take place on Thursdays in the audiovisual hall at noon, 2 pm and 5 pm.

Leopold Kessler >> (b. 1976, Germany / Austria)

Video, installation. He is interested in public space, within which he makes subtle, ironic interventions of orderline legality. Dressed in work clothes, he inscribes himself in the urban landscape and becomes almost unnoticeable to passers-by. Creating absurd situations, he reveals society’s unbounded trust in uniformed municipal employees. In his works he explores the potentialities of urban space while simultaneously indicating the gaps in its systematized structure.
