On Friday 19 May we invite you to MOCAK for the Night of the Museums! The museum will open from 6pm until 1am.
The last entry to the exhibitions will be at 00:30 hours. On that day, we will offer a special ticket for 1 PLN. Visitors will be able to see all the exhibitions and take part in events organised for this occasion.

On 19 May, the MOCAK Library and MOCAK Bookstore 19 May will be open during the Museum's operating hours, i.e. from 6pm to 1am.

PROGRAMME

Techno night of the Museums, audiovisual room, 9.30 pm – 11 pm

We draw on the techno music parties in the cellars of Krzysztofory, where members of the Second Krakow Group used to meet – come to the audiovisual room for a techno music set and a panoramic animation created live on the basis of the works of the Krakow Group. Scans of works by artistf from the Second Krakow Group will be subjected to computer manipulation by Mateusz Świderski, an artist experimenting with the latest media. An important figure of the Krakow techno scene, DJ and party promoter HiTrash, will play his set.

Graphic arts open stand: createyour own ex-libris, the Library, 6-10 pm

At the MOCAK Library, from 6 pm to 10 pm, you will have the opportunity to make your own ex-libris – a customised artistic stamp to mark the books you have. We will be using the linocut technique. You can join the workshop at any time during the event.

Kossakówka, Museum arcade, 6 pm – midnight

We invite you to the Museum arcades for a presentation about activities related to Kossakówka, accompanied by a film showing the concept of developing the historic villa at 4 Juliusz Kossak Square in Krakow.

Meet the guides in the exhibition space, 7 – 9 pm

During the Museums' Night, guides will be waiting for the public in the space of the new temporary exhibitions to talk about selected works.

Guided tour of the Mieczysław Porębski Library, 8 pm

Magdalena Mazik, head of MOCAK Art Knowledge Department, will lead an open tour of the Mieczysław Porębski Library. He was a prominent art critic and theoretician of the Krakow Group. Please book in advance at edukacja@mocak.pl or by telephone: 12 263 40 35 (Monday – Friday, 9am - 4pm).
