We invite you to join the final guided tour in English of the exhibition State of Possession`, which showcases over 100 works from the MOCAK Collection. These include works by Sarah Lucas, Agnieszka Kurant, Rafał Bujnowski, Jerzy Bereś and Katarzyna Kozyra. The exhibition, which explores the theme of crisis, is divided into the following sections: Ruins, Nooks and Crannies, Mudlands, Closets and Cabinets and Springtimes. The curator Kamil Kuitkowski explains that ‘this exhibition is built upon the experience of absence: a lack of time and stability, and above all, a lack of financial resources – a lack resulting from the implosion of the institution’s budget and the depletion of the resources necessary to have carried out the planned activities’.  Nevertheless, the message behind the exhibition is: ‘crises exist so that springtimes may follow’.

Led by: Zuzanna Świątek – an MA graduate programme in Cultural Studies, specialising in cultural texts, and a student of performance studies at the Jagiellonian University. She works with MOCAK as an educator.
