Erna Rosenstein

(1913-2004)

Abstract minimalism. Compositions, sparse in form and colour, have been constructed with intersecting lines. They constitute a notation of emotional impulses. The economy of expression, in juxtaposition with the themes implied by the titles of the works, can be interpreted in the context of the artist’s dramatic wartime biography.
