Rolf Julius

(1939-2011) 
Installation, painting, intermedia. In his works he combined sound compositions with visual objects. He created minimalist collages, combining sounds of nature with those produced by electronic equipment. Such recordings were frequently played from speakers placed in tents; this was to turn music into a virtual project. He also produced acoustic performances in public space.
