Night of Museums at MOCAK

On Friday 18 May come to the Night of the Museums at MOCAK! The visitors will be able to see all the exhibitions and take part in the events that have been prepared especially for the occasion.

On the day, the Museum will be open only from 6 pm until 1 am. The last admittance to the exhibitions at 0.30 am. Free entry.

Field game, 6.30 pm – 10 pm 1
A mass participation game will take place on the Museum site and in its environs. All parents with children invited.

Showing of the film Marina Abramović: The Artist Is Present and a promotion of MarinaAbramović’ autobiography Walk through Walls, 8 pm
Come to the audiovisual hall for the projection of the film Marina Abramović: The Artist Is Present (dir. Matthew Akers, 2012) and the launch of the the autobiography of the famous performer artist. MOCAK has partnered the publication.

Wedding Portraits (Monidła) with the work Brother-in-Law by Edward Dwurnik from the series Sportsmen (work presented at the exhibition Motherland in Art) and Polan Dwurnik I Am Married to Painting (work presented at the exhibition Art in Art in 2017).

MOCAK Library, 6 pm – 1 am

During this year’s Night of the Museums at MOCAK, you will have an opportunity to talk to Kholoud Charaf, a poet and art critic from Syria, the eighth scholar to be awarded a grant by the ICORN programme. During her two-year stay in Krakow, Kholoud Charaf will be working closely with the MOCAK- Library.
