Yael Bartana... and Europe Will Be Stunned
Showing of films which combine into an installation by the Israeli artist Yael Bartana, who is representing Poland at the 54th Art Biennale in Venice. The project …and Europe Will Be Stunned consists of the films: Nightmares (2007), Wall and Tower (2009) and Coup d’Etat (2011).

Presentation of a new collection of Adam Zagajewski’s essays, in which the erudite poet, a citizen of the world, reveals before us a totally private world of memories and recaptures the Lvov past of his family. He movingly portrays his father and his own childhood and youth.
The first-ever 'museum lesson' at MOCAK
On the 8th June 2011, the first-ever ‘museum lesson’ took place at MOCAK. 31 pupils from the VI LO No 1 Association of Schools in Rzeszow participated in the activities which had been prepared for them by Elżbieta Sala and Magdalena Mazik.
Mieczysław Porębski’s Library event
The event was devoted to the collection of books and paintings from the Krakow part of Mieczysław Porębski’s Library, which the Professor donated to MOCAK.
Mirosław Bałka's sculpture joins the MOCAK collection!
On the 6th June 2011, the MOCAK collection was enriched by Mirosław Bałka’s sculpture 7+1, donated by the PKO BP Capital Group.

28th May 2011 the members of the Association ‘Wiosna’ took part in the workshop The Circle of Time – Krakow sponsored by the Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow. From the 5th June 2011, you can see Shinji Ogawa's installation The Circle of Time – Krakow prepared with children.

The opening of MOCAK, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow, took place on Thursday, 19th May 2011. Hundreds of visitors came to MOCAK on the day.
