On the 6th June 2011, the MOCAK collection was enriched by Mirosław Bałka’s sculpture 7+1, donated by the PKO BP Capital Group.

The sculpture consists of eight elements in the shape of cylinders (90 cm in diameter and 30 cm in height) made from blocks of salt  and exhibited on granular salt. The cylinders originate from the Kłodawa salt mine. The sculpture was made for the interior of the Puławska Finance Centre building in Warsaw. The use of salt is symbolic and is a reference to the past era when salt was used as means of payment. The cylinders are reminiscent in shape of coins, and the revolutions of one of them may imply the circulation of money.
