Ewa Kulasek

(b. 1962)

Analysis of the medium. Total drawing. The drawing process requires a basis. Artists tend to appreciate this, emphasising the distance between the matter of the image and its background. The drawings of Ewa Kulasek, however, do away with this separation. They annex the basis, combining the drawing and background into an integrated whole. As a result, this is not about the art of drawing but rather a symbolic process that demonstrates the appropriation of individuality by the process.
