Krakow Fantasies. Meet Ryszard Horowitz
19.11.2018 at 6 PM
On Monday 19 November at 6 pm, we invite you to meet Ryszard Horowitz, an artist, acclaimed photographer and creator of metaphorical collages, as well as one of the youngest survivors on Schindler’s list from the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp. There will be an introduction by Maria Anna Potocka, and the artist will be talking to Katarzyna Zimmerer. On the night, there will also be a screening of works by Horowitz dating back to various years, as well as a screening of a film by the artist’s wife Anna Bogusz, documenting his photographic actions.
The session will be part of Ryszard Horowitz’s project Krakow Fantasies, presenting 15 photographs – some familiar to the public and others less so – all showing a completely new perspective on various places in Krakow. The photographer shot them using up-to-date equipment and making use of the opportunities offered by drones.
The photographs will be presented at a special exhibition during the Open Eyes Economy Summit (OEES), 20–21 November 2018 at the ICE Krakow Congress Centre. They will be shown for the first time during the event in MOCAK. The exhibition will be accompanied by a catalogue.
Admission is free. Session will be conducted in Polish.
