Henri Kichka was a figure very close to MOCAK. His wartime history and the related fates of the younger generations of the Kichka family have been important points of reference for the Museum in the context of our World War II programme. In 2017, MOCAK published Henri Kichka’s memoir. The book was accompanied by a CD with his testimony, recorded in Brussels in early December 2016: https://en.mocak.pl/henri-kichka-i-was-a-prisoner-of-ten-camps-1940-1945
Henri Kichka was one of the protagonists of the cartoon Kichka: Life Is a Cartoon, produced in 2018 by MOCAK in collaboration with the Center for the Persecuted Arts in Solingen. This is a story of the difficult relationship between children and their father – a victim of and witness to the Holocaust: https://lifeisacartoon.mocak.pl
