Technical and aesthetic conservation of one of the elements of Matthias Jackisch’s painting installation No Mad Pot Stops to Be Nomad (1995). The cup, made out of unfired clay with some lead powder added, had broken. The conservation process consisted of putting it together again employing the artist’s original technology. Parts of the cup were glued together following his instructions, and the cracked parts were filled and joined using the same materials as before – thick clay and fine lead powder.
