You are invited to take part in ECOWEEK – an international conference and workshop organised by MOCAK. The Krakow edition of the event headlined Design. Innovation. Experiment. Lifestyle. An International Seven-Day Think-Tank, will take place between 21 and 27 October 2013.

ECOWEEK Krakow is one of a series of international workshops and conferences that take place in over a dozen countries in Europe and the Middle East that involves international experts and participants. The series aims to promote ecological solutions in the areas of design, including urban design, architecture, environmental engineering and also urban lifestyle. The event is targeted at those representing local government as well as academic and cultural institutions and also at young scientists and students interested in urban issues.

The programme of ECOWEEK Krakow 2013 includes: the opening conference at Villa Decius on 21 October, international workshops from 21 until 25 October and a closing conference which will take place at MOCAK on 26 October. The project will culminate in an exhibition of architectural and urban concepts, produced by the workshop participants. The opening will take place in the Stone Hall of Krakow Town Hall on 27 October 2013.

The invited guests include world-renowned experts including: Chris Doray (Chris Doray Studio, Vancouver), Bostjan Vuga (Sadar+Vuga, Ljubljana), Matthew Soules (MSA, Vancouver), Emanuele Naboni (the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Copenhagen), Ivana Pasecna and Peter Pasecny (2ka, Bratislava), Mihaela Hărmănescu (University of Architecture and Urban Planning Ion Mincu Bucharest, Bucharest), Thomas Kauertz (University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hildesheim, Hildesheim) as well as Agata Woźniczka and Mateusz Adamczyk (BudCud, Krakow).
