The artist has made many portraits, employing a variety of sculptural strategies. The design for Wisława Szymborska Award makes a direct reference to the two favourite stimulants of the poet – strong black coffee and cigarettes. The artist has felicitously rendered the profile of the poet by the means of the smoke from her cigarette resting on the saucer of her cup of coffee.
