On Sunday 27 October Pianoforte Foundation and MOCAK would like to invite you to the concert In the Romantic Salon from the series From Bach’s Cantatas to Moniuszko’s Songs.
The leitmotif are vocal-cum-instrumental compositions and their development from baroque until the time of Stanisław Moniuszko. During the concert the audience will be transported back to the romantic era. As part of the concert In the Romantic Salon they will be listening to compositions by Felix Mendelssohn and Robert Schumann, performed by Katarzyna Kucia, accompanied by a historic oboe (Katarzyna Pilipiuk) and an original harpsichord from 1834 (Anna Huszczo). There will also be romantic intrumental miniatures for the oboe and pianoforte by the romantic composers C.A. Braun and J. Wiederkehr – not often heard in concerto repertoire.
