In a non-commercial gallery, the artist organised a commercial exhibition, attempting to make his offering more attractive by using typical marketing tricks. He showed 50 video cassettes painted on canvas. The viewers could buy the ‘goods’ and pay the full price to the artist himself. When buying three cassettes, the viewer received a free gift – another piece of graphics, also showing a cassette. Halfway through the exhibition, a group of German visitors arrived. They were so impressed with the low price of an oil painting on canvas that they bought all the remaining paintings of cassettes. Luckily, the gallery had previously bought a few for its own collection. The point of the exhibition disappeared when the last painting was purchased.
