Batowice

The work is a collage of paintings. In its central part there is Bartek Materka’s painting. Edward Dwurnik had bought the work, stuck it onto a larger canvas and then painted the rest. Materka’s work was the inspirational stimulus which determined the whole of the composition. Although Edward Dwurnik has intruded into the autonomy of Materka’s painting, ultimately he succumbs to its overriding influence.
