Boaz Arad

(1956-2018) Video, objects. His first works from 1999–2002 concentrate on the figure of Adolf Hitler. These short forms created through the manipulation of archival material include effects to surprise the viewer, such as the dictator speaking Yiddish. The artist dresses as Hitler, to depict him as an unfulfilled painter who is also an ideal of masculine beauty in the era of fascism.
