Reinforcement and stabilisation of the single remaining element of Zbigniew Sałaj’s untitled painting installation (1992) created in the Potocka Gallery on the Gallery’s walls and on a construction made of cardboard and plasterboard. Over time, the plasterboard, which is sensitive to humidity, became deformed and the tension proved excessive for the layer of cardboard, which cracked. As a result of the conservator’s intervention, parts of the board were re-joined, strengthened, straightened and stabilised.
