Workshops: Images of the District
On Saturday, 5th April 2014 workshops titled Images of the District took place. The workshops were inspired by Rune Eraker's Uprooted exhibition. Polish and foreign students participated in them.
In the first part of the session the participants considered ways of depicting social relationships and their environment in Rune Eraker's photographs. Next, the group familiarised themselves with selected ʻframesʼ of the district surrounding the museum. The walking tour was guided by Michał Pałasz.
Michał Pałasz is a doctoral student at the Institute of Culture, Jagiellonian University, a cultural manager, expert on cultural marketing in social media, curator of EROart Zone at the International EROtrends Festival in Warsaw. He is the co-founder of multidisciplinary curatorial and art project Muzeum Erotyzmu and the initiator of creating Mayamural in Podgórze. He has been a resident of Zabłocie district for three years.
The event was organised as part of the international project Public Exchange: Reflections on Art and the City.
