Tomasz Kowalski

(b. 1984)                                                                                                                                               Painting, drawing, collage, object. An artist of the young generation who consistently employs a compilation of the aesthetics of previous eras. He constructs fantastical narratives, fluidly spread over paintings, drawings, objects and recordings executed with great attention to detail. Each is a variation on the main theme, capable of functioning as a standalone work. This multiplication of the narrative through the expression of its elements in various techniques has close parallels to theatrical design. His subject matter is inspired by literature, art history and music rather than by issues arising from daily life.
