On 26June, at the opening night of Charlotte Beaudry’s exhibition Temptress, the TALE art group staged the performance To Ride a Horse.
The group includes six artists: Charlotte Beaudry, Aline Bouvy, Delphine Deguislage, Céline Gillain, Aurélie Gravas and Claudia Radulescu, in co-operation with Virginie Devillez.
The collective was formed after the artists had met at a residential stay in the Ardennes, at the house of the painter Lucy Fabry, Céline Gillain’s grandmother, in August 2010. During this one-week stay, the participants saw how the boundaries between their individual and shared approach to art start to blur. They formed the group as a natural consequence of that experience, as expressed by the name they chose, The After Lucy Experiment. The artists have ever since experimented together, as part of TALE, with new forms, especially with regard to performance, sound and installation.
