On Sunday 7 August at 3 pm, we would like to invite you to the event The Second Life of a Book, organised in collaboration with the Krakow Festival Bureau. This year the event will be a part of the August Weekends with Literature.

Everybody can take part in the cashless book swap. All you need to do is to bring at least one or more books, up to ten, which should be in good condition. Pre-1995 books can only be swapped for books also published by that year. Post-1995 books can be swapped for any others.

To circulate books enlivens home libraries, facilitates getting to know literature and broadens the readers’ literary horizons. Everybody can swap something that they have read or no longer required, perhaps for the very book that they had been searching for high or low. Or else a book that you did not get on with may be just what another person can’t wait to lay their hands on! There are bound to be exciting surprises! It is both very simple and rewarding to present a book to someone else.
