The Materials of a Contemporary Artist
On 16 February 2012 the first session of Holiday at MOCAK took place – The Materials of a Contemporary Artist – attended by young people from the Cultural Centre in Przegorzały in Krakow.
The session commenced with a guided tour of the Collection, given by Maria Wegenke. Participants were invited to pay particular attention to the materials that the works are made of. Next, the youngsters found various materials in the exhibition space which they used to produce their own works. Children used plastic bottles, wrapping, cans and other materials not usually found in traditional art. The results were super!
