The Culture for the 60+ Programme at MOCAK!
On 25 September 2011 at MOCAK the workshop The Constitution of My Life for senior citizens took place with the participation of the artist Marek Chlanda. Those in attendance were the seniors from the Municipal Cultural Centre in Bukowina, carrying out an Open University project.
The workshop started with those present viewing works from the MOCAK Collection and temporary exhibitions. Next, in  the Cafe MOCAK, the senior met with Marek Chlanda – a Kraków graphic artist, sculptor, author of installations and performer. The artist constructed the meeting around the concept of Talking to Ghosts – he discussed the series of his drawings and paintings called Beatifications, dedicated to various people from the world of art, philosophy and theatre.
At the end of the meeting, those present signed the MOCAK [pamiątkowa kronika].
The event will be continued with the workshop patricipants returning to see Marek Chlanda's exhibition at MOCAK in February 2011.
The event was part of the Culture for 60+ Programme (initiated by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage). It aims to stimulate cultural and artistic activities of that age group. All over the country, during 23- 25 September, cultural institutions opened their doors to senior citizens and prepared special programmes for them. You can find more info about the project here:
