Talk about the Museum

On Friday 22 March, there took place for student members of the Academic Student Group for the Protection of Cultural Assets at the Jagiellonian University a session entitled About Truth: Library – Archive – Conservation . The visit programme included a tour of Mieczysław Porębski’s Library and three other presentations.  Magdalena Mazik (MOCAK Library) talked about the challenges facing a library that functions as part of a museum of contemporary art, and Katarzyna Wincenciak (MOCAK Collection and Inventory Department) – about the archives acquired for, and created at, MOCAK. The encounter was rounded off by the MOCAK Conservator Zofia Kerneder, who described the work of a conservator of contemporary art.
