Project Simply Art. Visitors with intellectual disabilities at MOCAK

Published at:03.07.2019

The Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow is constantly working on expanding its programme for audiences with intellectual disabilities.

In 2019, as part of the Simply Art project, educators had yet another opportunity to share skills with experts from the Culture without Barriers Foundation. We also invited students from the ‘Prototype’ Student Club of the Faculty of Art, Pedagogical University, to join us. This co-operation will produce guides and simple texts, visual materials and teaching resources, which will be used at free admission meetings and workshops, integrating people with intellectual disabilities.

Our educational programme will be inspired by selected artworks by Mirosław Bałka, Robert Maciejuk, Małgorzata Markiewicz and Marian Szulc from the MOCAK Collection.

Instructors: educators, guides and students from Pedagogical University of Cracow.

Project team: design students from Pedagogical University of Cracow under the leadership of PhD Marcin Nowak (‘Prototype’ Student Club).

Coordination: Maria Prawelska
