The exhibition Open Throne. Contemporary Art and the Phenomenon of John Paul II was intended to provide a collection of stories and objects related to the spiritual amnesia, void and disappearance of any traces of the cult of John Paul II. The artists were interested in the ‘B-rated’, ‘plastic’ circuit of the Pope cult and related artefacts, or rather, in the fact that two parallel circuits existed. The following team worked on the exhibition, which, in the event, became a book: Tadeusz Bartoś, Sarmen Beglarian, Sebastian Cichocki, Jagoda Hernik Spalińska and Roman Pawłowski. The editor: Agnieszka Tarasiuk.
