On Open Door Day, educational workshop leader Maria Wegenke invited children and accompanying adults to discover the MOCAK space and familiarise themselves with Jiří Kolář’s exhibition Collage with an Ermine. The adventure started with discovering new terms, related to the collage technique, such as ‘crumplage’, ‘rollage’ and ‘intercollage’. After their tour of the exhibition, the youngsters created unique artworks, full of warmth and colour – paper butterflies that were combined into one big, communal collage. The session culminated in the children – together with the butterflies – swarming through the museum in search of Jiří Kolář’s work Butterflies.
