MOCAK at the Life Festival Oświęcim 2016
Welcome to MOCAK the Museum of Contemporary Art Festival space at this year’s edition of the Life Festival Oświęcim. For the participants we have educational workshops themed on the MOCAK Collection, which will be taking place in the Festival stadium. And do check out our MOCAK tent with a book stand and chillout zone.
Saturday 18 June, 5 pm – 8 pm
MOCAK’s Creative Zone – a series of educational workshops that will bring the works in MOCAK Collection closer and enable the participants to create canvas bags inspired by individual works.
5 pm National / Foreign – workshop inspired by the work of Jadwiga Sawicka
5.40 pm Multiplications – workshop inspired by the work of Maria Michałowska
6.20 pm We, Young Artists… – workshop inspired by the work of Marcin Maciejowski
7 pm Elena – workshop inspired by the work of Julian Opie
7.40 pm Painting Over – workshop inspired by the work of Tomasz Ciecierski
Sunday, 19 June, 5 pm – 8 pm
Educational activities Between – You and Me (Sunday, 5 pm – 8pm) – workshop on concrete poetry, during which an educational installation will be created, inspired by the work of Stanisław Dróżdż. The aim of the activity is to develop sensitivity to the words that appear between people, filling up the shared space. The workshop draws on the freedom-focused theme of the Festival.
Financed by the MKiDN fund as part of the programme A Hundred Lessons about the Collection.

The chillout zone is located in the stadium; this is where the visitors will be able to see short films promoting the Museum, the MOCAK Collection and the Museum’s mobile applications and well as find out about the full range of the Museum’s activities – exhibitions, educational activities, publications, the Bookstore range on offer and the Library – or simply talk about art, reclining on the loungers.
MOCAK Bookstore stand – the publications of the Museum will be on sale, for up to 50%. The discount also includes books about music and souvenir items with the Museum logo as well as selected artistic objects.
