Matthias Jackisch

(b. 1958)                                                                                                                                             Sculpture, drawing, performance. His sculptures are noted for the irformal variety; from figurativere presentations to organic abstraction. He is interested in denoting time. To measure the passing of time, he employs not only various contemporary methods but also, for instance, drawings produced using Paleolithic methods. In his actions the artist uses found materials, taking advantage of the potential of a given location.
