Marian Warzecha
(b. 1930)
Painting, relief, conceptual action. An aspiration to the synthesis of formal elements is visible in his work. The artist purges the structure of his works of nonessential components, simultaneously revealing his proclivity for precision and essentiality. Over time, he also comes to treat the space of his works as a place for reflections of a mathematical nature. Convinced that science and art are creative regions within the territory of artistic work, he brings in mathematical principles as the basis for organizing the space of the painting.
