Leopold Kessler
(b. 1976) Video. He is interested in public space, within which he makes subtle, ironic interventions of orderline legality. Dressed in work clothes, he inscribes himself in the urban landscape and becomes almost unnoticeable to passers-by. Creating absurd situations, he reveals society’s unbounded trust in uniformed municipal employees. In his works he explores the potentialities of urban space while simultaneously indicating the gaps in its systematized structure.
